The beauty and the mystery under the ocean

Koio Minato

10 Volumes – On Going

Plot Summary
Going on a field trip to Okinawa, Taiyo met the Miyara sisters. Attracted by the fun of diving and the beauty of the sea, he started to learn about diving. Later he came back to Okinawa to dive there. He then remembers that he lived in Miyara’s house when he was a child. A tragedy happened back there which took the lives of the Miyara sisters parents. Unfortunately Taiyo can’t remember exactly what happened.

Strange things start to happen. A giant strange mark glowing in the sea. And the same mark also appears in Mio’s, the youngest of the sisters, chest. Sometimes she got seizures that made her faint. The incident have a connection with an ancient ruins under the sea. As they explore for more clues, things get more complicated.

Navy seals were involved. Not to mention an environmental group with mercenary force called Nirvana. They were all chasing the hidden mystery of the ruins. Later they know that there similar ruins all over the world and each of them have it’s own catalyst; like Mio. The mystery gets deeper. The key is in Taiyo’s father secrets and the appereance of the white whale.

Personal Opinion
At first, it looks like a manga about diving. With girls in swimming and diving suits as fan services. Yes, I know you’ll like it. :p But when things start happening, specially when the mark appear at the sea for the first time in the manga, I know it’s more than that.

I think the mystery and all is really well thought of by the mangaka. It’s genuine and makes you want to know more and more. Quite complex though. Everything is being revealed little by little. So it’s hard to guess what will happen next.

Actually, without the mystery itself, the manga already an unique manga. How many manga out there that talks about diving? In details if I might add to that. You can actually learn some basic knowledge about diving by reading this manga. It’s true. And the underwater views are so beautiful and looks real. You can sense that mangaka loves the sea a lot.

What bothers me, a lot, is the love intrigue. Really an indecisive guy. :p Later you’ll know that it comes from his father. And it’s one of the root problem of everything. Oh boy. -_-‘
